We conduct comprehensive community-based parenting assessments, collaborating with parents and their children either in their own homes or in mutually agreed-upon settings. When children are in Looked-After settings, we incorporate contact sessions as part of the assessment process.
The parents we work with may face various challenges, including mental health issues, learning difficulties, substance misuse, and domestic abuse. Our parenting assessments carefully consider the risks to the children if they continue to be under their parents’ care. We explore ways to mitigate these risks and assess whether, how, and to what extent they can be reduced.
Our approach is flexible, tailored to meet the unique needs of each family. We also integrate family work into the assessment process to better understand family dynamics and identify areas for improvement.
Ultimately, our goal is to provide a thorough evaluation that informs decision-making and supports positive outcomes for both children and families.
We also provide parenting assessments for parents whose children are in local authority care or are undergoing planned rehabilitation. Our team is trained in Parent Assess and PAMS to conduct assessments for parents with learning or developmental difficulties.
We are able to undertake both SGO and Connected Persons assessments where extended family members or significant others are identified to care for children.
